ICONDRAW version 1.1 -------------------- ICONDRAW is an ICON drawing program for the PSION Series 3a. The program is designed to create and edit the 48x48 black, grey and white icons used in PSION 3a programs. It is not suitable for editing the 24x24 black and white icons as used on the PSION series 3. Installation ------------ The program file Icondraw.opa should be copied to your \APP directory. Then use Install ( PSION I) from the system APPS menu. Operation --------- On loading the program you are presented with a blank ICON. The drawing cursor is a small box at the top left hand corner of the Icon. Its position is also indicated by the "x=?, y=?" lines at the left hand side of the screen. To move the cursor around the screen use the normal cursor arrow keys. The Icon you draw in is 9 times actual size. As you draw an actual size version is displayed to the left of the large icon. You can plot a point at any location in the icon using:- "Q" to plot a white point "A" to plot a grey point "Z" to plot a black point To draw lines you use combinations of the "Control" and "Shift" keys with the cursor keys. "Shift"+"Control"+"Cursor key" draws a white line. "Control"+"Cursor keys" draws a grey line. "Shift"+"Cursor keys" draws a black line. The other controls are accessed by the "Menu" key. The "File" Menu --------------- The "File" menu is used to load a saved icon and save your icon. When loading or saving an icon the program assumes a default of "M\OPD\*.PIC" for the directory and file extension. The "Tools" Menu ---------------- The "Tools" menu is used for the other drawing options. "Clear Icon" Returns the icon to white. "Enter text" Enter text with various font and colour options. The current cursor position is the bottom left hand corner off the first text character. "Borders" Place a border around all or part of the icon. Several styles and colours are available. The default origin is the current cursor position, this will be the top left hand corner of the border. "Rectangles" Draw a rectangle of any size with optional fill in any colour. The origin is as for "Borders". "Move Rectangle" Move all or a section of the icon. Useful if your final drawing is not central in the large icon screen. The origin is again as for borders. "Update Large Icon" When using the above commands only the actual size icon is updated. This is because it can be very slow to update the large icon after each command (up to 45 seconds with a complicated icon). You use this command to update the large icon. The text "Wait..." will appear in the bottom left hand corner of the screen until the update is completed. The "Special" Menu ------------------ The "Special" menu is use to register ICONDRAW and to exit from the program.
